Vickie Ann Dugas

Vickie Ann Dugas, 53, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010, at a New Iberia Nursing home following a lengthy illness.

She was a native and resident of New Iberia.

She is survived by former husband, Rodney Dore'; two daughters Ashley Dore’ Hollier and husband Chris of Broussard and Nicole Dore' of New Iberia;  four grandchildren Ian Romero, Madison and Aubrey Hollier and Karsen Richard; four sisters Betty Romero, Rozetta Olivier and husband Lennis Jr., all of New Iberia, Joy Rita "Mickey" Bonin and husband Charlie of Bishop, Texas, and Dianne Wyant and husband Lyle of Brevard, N.C.; a brother Martin Dugas and wife Adele of New Iberia; and half brother Carroll Dugas and wife Ruby of Houma.

Ms. Dugas was preceded in death by her parents, Moise J. and Marcelite Hebert Dugas and half brother Harold Dugas.

A private memorial with family will be held at a later date.

A special thanks to the staff at New Iberia Manor North and Heart of Hospice staff, and her nurse Melody for all of the love and care that was given to her.

    Just a note to say how sorry I am to read this. My father was Sevin 'Sam' Dugas. Even thought I have been away from New Iberia for a very long time, my sisters and brother are still there and kind enough to share the news about VIckie with me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. "
