Time change

What do you think about this business of having to change the time every 6 months? I think it is time to stop this nonsense. This is just my opinion, but I think it is rediculous to have to adjust to this every few months. I don't even care whether we stick with Daylight Savings Time or Standard Time, let's just pick one and stick with it.  Just wondering what others think about this.

" Rotation of the earth huh? Wow, Internet search or what? Daylight savings time was first addressed by Ben Franklin. Actually it's supposed to be about saving electricity. We should all know the bull behind that cause my bill don't change. They'll just tack on another unexplainable fee. Plenty of countries and areas here don't observe it. I say put it to a vote. I'm tired of it. I'd rather the longer daylight hours. Kids are in the house earlier and the Playstations get powered up, televisions are at full crank as well as computers. LOL. Gimme the daylight please! "

" I vote for Daylight Savings Time all year long. I love to be able to walk after work, but not in the dark. I love to be able to bring my kids out to play after work, but not in the dark. I love to be able to work in my yard after work, but not in the dark!!!! It's up to the parents to get their kids to bed at a decent time - the time should not matter. "

" I agree. But not flipping back and forht would have a few problems, although some may say they are minor. It is hard enough keeping track what time it is in other parts of country when needing to contact friends and family, or businesses outside our own time zone. Also, if we don't flip back and forth, every six months all the tv shows we watch will be at a different hour. Again, maybe that is minor stuff. "

Standard Time wrote on Nov 6, 2009 2:12 PM:

" My opinion is to keep standard time . With daylight time people are restless and tired . Most are not resting and come to work totally beatdown from trying to do absolutely entirely too much in their lives . The children are sleepy from being out in the streets and the parents are the same . This fast pace of living is taking a toll on all living bodies . Just my opinion . "

" I agree, but lets just move the time 30 minuites and leave it year round. I don't need to be outside till 9 pm in the summer anyway. But that would be too simple for our politicians. "
