Obama's unfairness to insurance companies

I was somewhat concerned after listening to Obama's weekly radio address. He was discussing the scandalous insurance industry and the millions of dollars they were spending on ads to discourage Americans from parts of the health care reform bill. The insurance industry is just one of many that are  spending millions of dollars on ads trying to convince the American people that their position is the correct one. Not only is Obama vilifying insurance companies, he is also telling them if they can correspond with their costumers. After Humana insurance corresponded with their existing  Medicare advantage costumers to explain that their plan will no longer be available if  health care reform goes through.(Medicare advantage plans are eliminated in all 5 of the proposed plans as part of the 500 billion that they plan to take out of Medicare.) All other  companies that handle Medicare advantage plans were told that they were not to correspond with their customers either. I guess he doesn't want  Medicare advantage plan holders to realize that "if you like your plan you just may not be able to keep  that plan."

" Tommy: I am not stupid enough to believe that insurance companies are angels sent from heaven to save the world. But even if I was, that still wouldn't make me dumb enough to believe that the reason Obama is silencing his opposition, is because HE cares so much about my well-being. And if you know of any "Kool-Aid" that would make me believe that, then you should be nominated for the Nobel Prize. Oh wait, didn't someone already win a Nobel Prize with their Kool-Aid recipe? "

" It's so predictable, how this president operates. He says that he is all for transparency and open debate, but if you disagree with his view, he won't even enter the debate. Instead, he will strong-arm his opposition into silence. "

" I will never agree with what Obama is doing to our country and the insurance industry. I am scared for my children simply because if his health care plan goes through and my children need emergent medical attention or some sort of surgery, am I going to have to wait forever to get that surgery? I do not want his health plan it will not work. It will put people out of work and will also hurt the economy more than the economy is already hurting. "

" Most of the SAVINGS Obama talks about in his plan are in fact CUTS to Medicare patients!!!
Seniors need to wake up and mobilize if they want to get the care they think they are entitled to after paying into this system for 40 to 50 years!!! "

" Obama's plan is to destroy the insurance companies, and the coverage that you now have. The current proposals will make premiums explode, giving him cause to take over insurance as he has the auto companies. Further, while our boys are dying in Afganistan because he won't give them what they need, he instigates a war with Fox News. I have gone from hopeful, to realizing that this man is dangerous to our country, our freedom, and out way of life. I pray we survive him, but that is much in doubt. "
