Happy Parent

I moved over the summer and had to transfer my son's school from Pesson to Johnston. Several parents (NONE WHO HAVE CHILDREN THAT ATTEND JOHNSTON) speaking negative about the school based on the area. As a parent, I am sooo happy I moved. The halls are spotless!! His teacher, Mrs. Covillion, in my opinion, is Wonderful!   Not to mention Mrs. Landry. In this day and age it's hard to find teachers that are able to handle many of the students and demand the respect and attention of the students. I had the opportunity to eat lunch with my son last Friday and the level of discipline is Amazing.. Great Job!

" Johnston St. Elem has a G-R-E-A-T and D-E-D-I-C-A-T-E-D staff. Keep up the good work and keep striving for the top because the bottom is overcrowded. Ms. Pam Landry goes beyond the call of duty to do whatever it takes for the students and her staff. Ms. Landry when I get big I want to be just like you. Smile "

" I think that JES has some of the best teachers in the parish. I'm not saying that there aren't good teachers in other schools, but JSE has alot of parents that don't take their childerns education serious enough. In my opinion Mrs Landry does an outstanding job. She is passionate about providing a quality education to her students and developing her teachers at the same time. My child is in 1st grade and Mrs Saxton is such a great teacher. Keep up the good work ladies. Also, I'm happy that we are getting a new school!!!!! "

" I do not teach at Johnston, but I would like to add that I have several friends that either teach or taught there. They are a hard working group who really care about the students. They do deserve every pat on the back that they receive. Good Job! "
