Minority By J. ThibodeauxI was born in the 1950's. I was born to a what is now classified as a "white" family and we had to work to make ends meet. Today, I am considered a white / male. I never viewed myself as such. But in being viewed this way, I am not given the same latitude as others in that if I use certain "street" words; I am being a hateful person. Yes, this happens even though others speak the same language and it is "cool." Is this a First admentment problem or reverse discrimination? I think the later? Your thoughts?
