    " To Tom;
    Social Security receipts this year are LESS than the government is currently paying out!!!
    This is because lots of people who recently got laid off are taking early retirement because there are NO jobs!!!
    The national liability per citizen is $343,510.00!!!
    The average private debt per citizen is$54,553.00!!That's not per taxpayer it is averaged by the total population!!!
    That's the figures at 7:40AM today!!! They were increasing just as quickly as yesterday! Wait until we get HEALTH CARE, CAP&TRADE, and the rest of the DEM'S and Obama's wish list! The clock will MELT DOWN!!! "

    " Part 1
    Unfunded liabilities are truly scary. However, they are designed to be paid from future government revenue. Unfunded social security being paid out today comes from those paying into SS today

    Even more scary that unfunded liabilities is our national debt. It is $11.91 trillion today. Interest at a mere 4 percent is $476 billion every year. That’s $1,562 a year for every man, woman and child in the US. Interest on our debt is the forth largest expenditure the government has. "

    " This doesn't alarm me today; it hasn't alarmed you for the previous 8 years so why are you alarmed now? The debt didn't occur in the last 8 months, now did it? How much money did we spend BEFORE January 2009? How much surplus did we have in January 2000? This country is not in a helpless state; remember back when all over the country, there was a clock on every corner to let us know our debt? Were you alarmed then? "
