Memorial services for Elton Paul Segura will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Delcambre with pastor Johnny Ward officiating. Interment will be held private at a later date.

Mr. Segura was a native of New Iberia.  He was a cattle wrangler, member of the Louisiana Breeder Association and also a horse trainer. Mr. Segura was employed by Jack Hemminway. He passed away at 10:30 a.m. at Winnie Community Hospital on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in Winnie, Texas.

Mr. Segura is survived by his fiancée Elaine Duhon of Hamshire, Texas; one son Colby (CJ) Segura of New Iberia; parents, Lastie Segura and Mary Anna Labit Segura of New Iberia;  two brothers Jessie Segura and Daryl Segura, both of New Iberia; one sister Melissa Segura of Baton Rouge; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
