Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Beau Pre’ Cemetery in Jeanerette for Homer E. Sanderford Jr., 79, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, in New Iberia.

Survivors include his wife, Alice A. Sanderford, of New Iberia; daughters Jo Ann Leleux and husband, Billy, of New Iberia, Darlene LeBlanc and husband, Johnny, of New Iberia, Beth Turner and husband, Darrel, of New Iberia; daughter-in-law Sandra Burrell; brother Frank Sanderford of Los Angeles; sister Helen Parker of Collins, Miss.; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edward Sanderford Sr. and Ida Gene Corley Sanderford; son Eddie Dale Burrell; brother Lewis Sanderford; sister Edwina Sanderford; four grandchildren Jason, Eddie, Waylon and Holly Burrell; and two great-grandchildren Damien Burrell and Holly McDonald.

A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., in New Iberia.
