DeClouet - Colee

Michele DeClouet and Christopher Colee were married on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at the Episcopal School of Acadiana Chapel in Cade. The bride is the daughter of Greg and Karen DeClouet of Baton Rouge. The bride is also the granddaughter of Shirley DeClouet of New Iberia and the late Paul DeClouet. The groom is the son of Mike and Bobbie Colee of Gibson. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev Eric Treuil.

Escorted by her father, Greg, the bride wore a strapless, ivory-colored organza and satin gown. The fitted silhouette gown was richly embellished with silver scallop embroidery and crystal beadwork. It was finished with a V-back and chapel-length train. She carried a cluster-style bouquet of white tulips, roses and hydrangea accented with green hypericum berries, wrapped in an ivory-colored satin ribbon.

Janna Ziegler served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Landry, Melody Voitier, Jamie Oplt and Brittni Smith. Hunter LeBlanc served as ring bearer.

Lance Dunn served as best man. Groomsmen were Chad Brown, Jason Haynes, Josh Crawford and David Shields. Ushers were Jacob DeClouet, Edward DeClouet, Tyren Snyder and Kenny Burgett.

A reception was held for family and friends at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. Following a wedding trip to Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
