Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Walter J. Harry, the former Margaret Darby, 64, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with  Fr. Charles Langlois officiating.  Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. by Mrs. Mae Darby Guidry. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Wednesday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Harry passed away at 1:50 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at Dauterive Hospital with her husband at her side.

Mrs. Harry was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Harry; two daughters Allison Migues and her husband, William Migues, and Melissa Bourque and her husband, Carl Bourque, all of New Iberia; four grandchildren Joey Decuir, Carl Bourque II, Tyler Bourque and William “Reese” Migues; three sisters Rita D. Langla and Margie D. McCully, both of New Iberia and Elise Judice and five brothers John Darby Sr., Monroe Darby Jr., Harvey Darby and Terry Darby, all of New Iberia and Paul Darby of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Jessie Harry; parents, Monroe Darby Sr. and Mae Rita Langla Darby; her stepmother, Lucille Darby; two sisters Nellie D. Poirrier and Lula D. Delcambre and three brothers Rufus Darby Sr., Melvin Darby Sr. and Eddie Darby Sr.

Pallbearers will be Carl Bourque Sr., William Migues, Joey Decuir, Carl Bourque II, Tyler Bourque and Jamie Schneiter.

Honorary pallbearer will be William “Reese” Migues.
