Darnesha Nicole Hill and Rayland Damon Jones Sr. were married on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church. The bride is the daughter of Melvin and Deanna Barabin of Jeanerette and Darnell Charles of Jeanerette and the groom is the son of Brenda Jones of New Iberia and Rayfield Collins of Port Arthur, Texas. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. Charles Moncriffe.

Escorted by her father, Darnell, and stepfather, Melvin, the bride wore a strapless, ivory-colored satin beaded gown featuring a corset style bodice and a pick-up skirt. The gown was finished with a chapel train. For her headpiece, she wore a crystal accented tiara. She carried a bouquet of ivory- and canary-colored roses tied with a chocolate-colored ribbon.

Andrea Patterson served as maid of honor. Rachael Barabin served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lakeitha Colar, Destinie Yancy, Ericka Ringo, Jamie Bouie, Tiffany Jones, Jaleesa Haney, Marquila Rhine and Krystle McCree. Kacei Bramlette served as flower girl. Miniature bride was Ke’Irah Matthews.

Grayland Jones and Aaren Brown served as best men. Groomsmen were Tony Barabin Sr., Brandon McKay, Paul Colar, Robert Jones, Darrion Hill, James Hill Jr., Jeremey Ringo and Donnell Hill. Miniature groom was De’Onvanik Jones. Ushers were Mark Barto Jr. and Damon Wise.

A reception was held for family and friends at the Ward 8 Recreation Center in Jeanerette. Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas in November, the couple will reside in Lake Charles.
