Josephine Antoine and Marlon Quintin Charles were married recently at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Freetown. The bride is the daughter of the late Paul Mitchell and the late Dorothy Antoine. The groom is the son of Junius Charles of New Iberia. He is also the son of the late Catherine Green Charles. Officiating at the double-ring ceremony was the Rev. Darren M. Sophus Sr.

The bride was escorted by Danny Antoine during the ceremony.

Shayla Broussard, Angela Johnson and Annie Moore served as maid of honor. Nichole Davis served as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Devin Charles, Shameka Barnes, Otonii Brown, Shawanna Darby, Melinda Keal, Janice January and Rochelle Blase. Miniature bride was Shakiga Lumpkin. Kelsey Johnson served as flower girl. Elijah Colbert served as ring bearer.

Tyron Henry, Tramaine Lancelin and Damian Batiste served as best men. Groomsmen were Mark Colbert, Jakari Henry, Rikola Henry, Paul Antoine, Shawn Antoine, Kawoski Johnson and Tori Decuir. Miniature groom was Marlon Colbert Jr.

Ushers were Shawn Antoine Jr. and Trevor Davis Jr.

A reception was held for family and friends at the Inn of Iberia. The couple will reside in New Iberia.
