Services for Mrs. Iretter Hayes Jeanlouis, 70, will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel, New Iberia, with Rev. Arthur Lee Alexander officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, July 3, 2009, from 11 a.m. until time of service.

A resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Jeanlouis passed on June 23, 2009, at Iberia Medical Center.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her three sons Melvin Hayes, Darrin Hayes and Terrance Lockett, all of Jeanerette; two daughters Deborah Hayes of Jeanerette and Iretter Hayes Marks of Port Arthur, Texas; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; a devoted friend Evelyn Joyce Smith of Jeanerette and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She joins in glory with her husband, Albert Jeanlouis; parents, Abraham Anthony Sr. and Vivian Jones Poole; one son Tyrone Hayes; three brothers Abraham Anthony Jr., Benjamin Anthony and Allen Petrie; one sister Beverly Jones; two grandchildren Coryell Carter and Felix Guidry.

The family requested the professional care of Fletcher Funeral Home, 609 W. Admiral Doyle Drive, 369-3341.
