Ackal's Threats

I am FED UP with Louis Ackal threatening to stop policing the city because he doesn't know how to follow a budget.  Are we going to give in to him every time he threatens this?  These scare tactics are unprofessional and in my opinion should be illegal.  The man has been in office for only six months and is already in debt for $5 million!!!!  How could this happen?  Before he was even in office he was borrowing millions of dollars from the Bond Commission!  Before he was in office he purchased thousands of dollars worth of vehicles!  And what happened to these vehicles?  They are now all parked because he can't afford to use them!  Before he was in office he is raising salaries on most of the employees.  He should have waited until he got into office and familiarized himself with the business end of the department before going off on a huge spending spree!  And now, because he has dug himself in a hole and can't get himself out, he is threatening the City to either pay up or lose protection!  There must be a problem if even the Bond Commission will not loan him any money!  And what happens when he needs another million and another million and another million....  Will he threaten us again?  And will our government, both Parish and City, give in to him????  This is unacceptable!  People please!  Are we going back to archaic systems where we can be threatened by these political figures so they can get their way?  We are not the backwoods anymore!  We do not have to succumb to this type of government!  Please do not accept these actions because it is just easier than going against him.
