One afternoon about 6 p.m Boudreaux was just getting off work when he was called into the office for an emergency phone call.

Boudreaux picked up the phone and said "Hello who is this, I am about to go home?" The voice on the other end said "Boudreaux, this is your Mama. I am calling you to tell you your brother T-Boy was in a terrible boat accident and he is in the hospital you have to go see him right now."

Boudreaux said "OK, Mama, I'll go right now." His Mama sound real upset so he jumped in his truck and drove straight to the hospital. When he got there his Paw met him at the front door and told him, "T-Boy is in room 123. He got 2 broke legs, 1 broke arm, and 6 cracked ribs, and he broke his nose. You know he had big nose, ya. He is sleeping now but we can see him soon." Boudreaux said "Mais, Pa, what happen?"

Pa started off saying something like this, "Well, you know that old crawfish skiff T-Boy had that was so slow and didn't hold that many sack of crawfish. Well, he put some money aside and went get him the biggest airboat he could find and. boy is it fast, yeah, it go about 60-some-what mile a hour in the march, and carries about 75 sacks of crawfish at one time.

"Well it was getting late and T-Boy was in a hurry to go drink some beer at the bar. So he took the short cut through the edge of the woods in back of the house. Well, he tried to go between those two big Cyprus trees like he use to with his little skiff. So here he comes, wide open, straight for the 2 trees. That is when it happen. He went right between them 2 trees, but the airboat was too wide to fit between them and boat crashed, coming to dead stop, 'BAM!!'

"Now T-Boy don't wear no seat belt you know, so the boat dead stopped and T-Boy just flew out the boat, arms and legs going everywhere. He must have bounced on the water about 5 or 4 times and came to a stop against a big willow tree."

Boudreaux said, "You mean to tell me that caused all that damage on T-Boy?"

Paw said "Well, a little bit, but most of the damage was done by the 40 or 50-some-what sacks of crawfish that come following him out the boat at 60 miles an hour and flatten T-Boy against that tree."

Boudreaux was quiet for a minute then he look up at his Paw and said, "I'll go pick up the crawfish!"
